These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Lumie’s website, mobile experiences, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Lumie LLC (“Lumie,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using Lumie, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Lumie allows you to generate spend insights and profiles based on transaction data accessed securely through Plaid.
The Service is intended for personal and informational purposes only and does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Lumie.
By using the Service, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account and User Information

You may be asked to provide personal information such as your name, email, age, ZIP code, gender, and survey responses.
By providing this information, you agree that Lumie may collect and process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If you link a financial account through Plaid, you authorize Lumie to securely access your transaction data for the sole purpose of generating your spend insights and profile.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use Lumie only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
You may not:

• Use the Service to violate any law or regulation.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or exploit any part of Lumie’s platform.
• Submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.

5. Data Processing

By using Lumie, you consent to the processing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your transaction data is accessed securely through Plaid and processed using a large language model (LLM) to generate your spend insights and profile.
Your data will not be used to train or improve any LLM models and is deleted after your insights are displayed.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on Lumie — including text, graphics, design, software, and logos — are owned by or licensed to Lumie LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not use Lumie’s name, branding, or materials without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimers

The Service and all insights are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Lumie makes no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any insights, data, or results generated.
Your spend insights are for informational or entertainment purposes only and should not be considered financial, legal, or professional advice.
You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on information obtained from Lumie.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumie LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, or partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to use Lumie in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lumie LLC and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Modifications to the Service

We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Lumie at any time without prior notice.
We may also modify these Terms periodically.
The most recent version will always be available at www.joinlumie.com/terms with the updated effective date.
Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
